- two elastics,
- ~4 bobby pins.
Quick and fun hairstyle, when you know how to do it. I spent quite a lot of time on figuring out how to cope with odangos and finally I found a way that creates a very stable and durable hairstyle with few bobby pins. Let’s begin!
- Brush your hair and create a parting in the middle.
- Form two (very) high ponytails with firm, thick elastics.
- Select one of two ponytails. Now please concentrate! Divide it in half, take the upper half and wrap it around the lower. Do NOT wrap it till the end, stop just before last (or one before last) wrap, take the ponytail (lower part of hair) that sticks out of your ‘wrapper’, fold it so that it is close to your scalp and then wrap around the upper section one more time.
- Pin the bun.
- Form the other odango (repeat 3 and 4 for the other ponytail).
You can of course spice it up a little by adding some hair accessories or forming braids out of ponytails. However, the above presented look is the closes to Usagi.
Since I know third step can be pretty confusing, feel free to ask any questions if you have problems with it 🙂
